Grants
The Arthur Skodnek Foundation supports nonprofit organizations located in the United States who fall within the Foundation’s area of focus. Presently, the Foundation focuses its efforts on regenerative agriculture initiatives and nature-based education programs. Recent projects have involved social and ecological initiatives in New York State that are solution-oriented, mitigating the impact of agriculture on soil health and reconnecting communities to regenerative ways of relating to the Earth.
Our grantmaking strategies are based on flexible and adaptive learning. Recent grantmaking practices have included focusing on small-scale organizations, providing seed funding, and respecting the autonomy of organizational efforts by awarding general support grants whenever possible.
Thank you for your interest. Due to the nature of our current capacity, grant inquiries are by invitation only. Unsolicited requests for funding will not receive a response.

Board of Psychedelic Medicine and Therapies
Seed funding to launch the first National Certification Board for Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy (PAT) by April 2021, $40,000
“Certification boards (CBs) are common structures in the U.S. healthcare system. They allow new professions and clinical specialties to unify, self-govern and self-define the standard for practitioner competence. They are essentially consumer protection entities that in many ways mirror state licensure boards. Creation of a Certification Board for practitioners working with psychedelic medicines is seen as a critical step in the process of furthering the integration of psychedelic medicine into the American healthcare system. If a CB is successful, the credential issued by that board could become the primary identifier used by commercial health insurance carriers, as well as the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, to determine who can be reimbursed for providing the treatment. This helps to reduce liability related to quality and expedites development of provider networks, both of which are prerequisites for achieving treatment coverage under any health insurance plan.”
